Corrine Jensen

Corrine Jensen has run CJ’s Day Home out of her own family home in Taber for over twenty-five years. She knows every child in her care by name, by quirk, and by what they like for lunch.

She cooks lunch most days. The kids go outside whenever the weather lets them. If something feels off with a child, parents hear from Corrine right away. Not at pickup.

CJ’s Day Home is licensed under Alberta’s Early Learning and Child Care standards.

Approach

How Corrine runs the day

  1. Same faces, every day

The same small group of children, the same routine, the same caregiver. Children settle in faster and stay calmer when things are predictable.

  2. Play is the day

Art at the kitchen table, blocks on the floor, books before naps, time outside whenever the weather allows. No screens, no flashcards.

  3. It’s a home, not a centre

Real kitchen, real family rhythms, real meals. Children eat together, rest together, and grow up inside an actual home.
